Global Information Technology Management (GITM)

Information and communication technology (ICT) has become an integral part of many traditional products and services. In addition, it provides the infrastructure for knowledge sharing in business processes and in individual tasks within those processes. Organizations need to be able to capitalize on new IT-related innovations and, at the same time, ensure that existing business processes continue to receive high quality service from IT.

Program in brief

The GITM master’s program educates professionals to work in IT management functions of international enterprises and in international project environments within the ICT-enterprises. The two-year GITM Master’s program consists of 120 ECTS credits (minimum requirement). The language of instruction is English. The accepted students build up their knowledge and skills on international management of information technology (IT). The program prepares students with a background in business and/or information technology or computer science to become “hybrid” professionals at the interface between ICT, business and people. The successful completion of the program leads to eligibility to apply also for doctoral studies majoring in information system science.
